[leadin]Buy a beer, support a local trail. That is the premise behind a project this summer by Bent Paddle Brewing Co. and Loll Designs of Duluth, Minn.[/leadin]
The beer, called the Lollygagger Pale Ale, goes on sale this week. Its allotted 5 percent fund will be put toward the building of the Duluth Traverse, a 100+ mile system of singletrack mountain bike trails across the city.
Loll Designs, based in Duluth, makes high-end outdoor furniture from recycled plastic. The company has partnered with the Bent Paddle brewery to get this project off the ground.
Over the years Loll has donated $60,000 to the local biking organization, the Cyclists Of Gitchee Gumee Shores, or COGGS.
Lollygagger Pale Ale is available at the Bent Paddle taproom in Duluth as well as sold in cans at stores around the region.
