This $40 bottle has a lot of great characteristics that you would normally find in older, more expensive whiskeys. With hints of tobacco, vanilla, and honey, it’s like sucking on a sweet and spicy hard candy while puffing a fine cigar inside a dusty corn silo. Sounds crazy, but it tastes delicious. The fake tax strip, cardboard/metal tube case, and classic label lettering will have your friends thinking you brought some of grandpa’s old stash to the campsite.

This one is a terrific bourbon that has all the great characteristics associated with longer aging time. It will keep you warm and cozy. Close your eyes and think of a smokey leather jacket, with a festive chocolate-covered, nutmeg-dusted fruit cake. Oh yeah, it’s that good. It’s perfect for campfire celebrations and memorable moments with friends. Plus, Michter’s is one of the few distilleries with a female master distiller. In 2016, Pam Heilmann became the first woman since Prohibition to serve as a master distiller at a Kentucky Distiller’s Association distillery. We’ll drink to that.
