Spend half as much time on the ski lift and more time on the slopes.

Can’t get enough skiing in at Jackson Hole, Wyo.? Now you can, with Thunder’s faster lift times. The historic Thunder lift has been in service since 1970. It provides 102-chair access to almost 1,500 vertical feet of terrain with a 7-minute lift time at a speed of 2.54 m/s.

Thunder’s incoming detachable lift ushers in a new era, claiming to cut ride times in half to 3.5 minutes. This winter season, lifts on the new Thunder will be available.

“Thunder has everything. It has some of the best groomers. Some of the best pillow lines. It has Tower 3,” Todd Jones, founder of Teton Gravity Research, said in praise.

Now, ski and snowboard enthusiasts have quicker access to all the major ski runs, including the classics like Tower 3, the Grand, Laramie Bowl, Thunder Bumps, and Tram Line, to Riverton Bowl, Gannett, Mushroom Chutes, Paintbrush, Toilet Bowl, and more.

As Jackson Hole Mountain Resort athlete Jim Ryan stated, “On an excellent day, you never really feel like you get enough; now, I feel like I might finally be satisfied.”
