Well, apparently great horned owls can swim pretty well. This owl was forced down into Lake Michigan when attacked by two peregrine falcons near Loyola Park Beach in Rogers Park, Chicago, according to Steve Spitzer, the man who captured the video.
Spitzer shot this video of the owl, but not any of the falcon attack. He told WGNTV that he and others at the beach were busy trying to scare the falcons away.
Spitzer said that the owl swam to shore and flew away before bird rescue arrived.
