More than 40 artists donated songs to the nonprofit organization 1% For the Planet to create a new CD, including Jack Johnson, Jackson Browne, G. Love, and Brandi Carlile. 100 percent of CD sale proceeds go toward raising money for environmental nonprofit groups throughout the world.
The $10 disc — available on Jan. 5 on the Apple iTunes store or through select retail stores — favors acoustic-type chill music. Mason Jennings, Sons of William, Josh Ritter, Chris Velan, and the Winterpills are among the artists who are a part of the project. https://music.onepercentfortheplanet.org
