Gram-counting competitive swimmers have a new goggle to drool over. The Blueseventy CarbonRZR is a to-be-released carbon-framed goggle that weighs a mere 27 grams.
It is made from a polymer that mixes a nylon compound reinforced with carbon fibers to create a “super strong” matrix. The result is a frame touted to be “six times stronger and 2.5 times lighter than traditional polycarbonate frames,” according to the company.
For lenses, the RZRs use an anti-scratch polycarbonate with fog treatment. They’re made for forward focus, but have enough side view to use your peripheral vision.
The CarbonRZR will be available in March for $100. www.blueseventy.com
