Bike Coffee Cup Holder
May 24, 2010, 8:40 am / Categories: Biking
When bike commuters are running late, they often have to quaff down their coffee and run, or —gasp! — go without. Unless, they have something like a Bar-ista from Portland Design Works. The $20 alloy cup holder attaches to you handlebars via one bolt and accommodates most travel mugs. (The cup has to have a larger diameter at the top of the mug than the bottom.)
I’ve had my PDW Bar-ista mounted on for a couple of weeks and have zero complaints. Coffee on the go has never been this easy. One caveat: if you have oversized handlebars, the adapter may not work. For other bikes, there are two rubber pieces inside the collar, so you don’t scuff your bars when you cinch it down.

Some other brands carry this as well. I have it on my beach cruiser. Beats holding the cup the entire time. This should work fine on any handlebars. I compared needed space for this on my drop bar handle bars on other bike as well. if you have room for a head light, you have room for this. one on each side.

I really want this, but I don’t know if it would work well with my drop bar handle bars. What do you think? Only on flat and riser handle bars?
