A giant crystal cave described as “Superman’s fortress.” Magnificent crystals up to 36 feet long and weighing 55 tons. Scorching-hot temperatures that could kill a human after just 15 minutes of exposure. Those are the descriptions of a newly-discovered cavern deep underground in Mexico that National Geographic is calling “one of the greatest natural marvels on the planet.”
In October, the National Geographic Channel aired “Into the Lost Crystal Caves,” a two-hour special on the discovery and exploration of the Cueva de los Cristales, the Crystal Cave. More details, photos, and video on National Geographic here: https://channel.nationalgeographic.com
