Today we launch ‘Live at the Games,’ a one-of-a-kind media experience around the GoPro Mountain Games in Vail, Colo.

Presented by Gerber, this new content channel has a goal to be the most comprehensive media source at the Games, including articles, photo features, and original videos shot and edited live at the event in June.

Snapshots from the Mountain Games

We’ll be broadcasting from Vail Village at the Gerber booth for all four days, June 6 – 9. Stay tuned as the ball gets rolling this month with posts on the upcoming events, adventures, and personalities that make the GoPro Mountain Games our favorite outdoor festival of the year.

Initially created in 2002, the Mountain Games has grown to host approximately 3,000 adventure athletes each year.

Nearly 50,000 spectators come annually for the four-day event, which features competitions from kayaking to mountain biking, a gear demo area, a vendor tent village, and concerts at night.

Athletes range from world-class, Olympian-level to the weekend warrior set. There are dog competitions, too. GearJunkie staff and editors have participated in the Games since 2006, including bike, trail run, kayak, and adventure race events.

We’ll see you this June in Colorado for the Games. Stop by the Gerber booth, or come find us on the trails and rivers around town. We’re gearing up now for the show.
