San Onofre, California
Val Laforge
Val grew up on a ranch in Northern California, riding horses and climbing trees. Her childhood athleticism paid off with a scholarship to play Division 1 soccer at Saint Mary's College. She also topped her class in physical fitness at the U.S. Marine Corps Officer Candidates School. She's an experienced road-tripper, living out of a converted van to travel all over California. These days, Val spends much of her time in Venice Beach surfing and carving barefoot on her skateboard.
