“Lifestyle pieces with technical performance that can take you from the mountain to the bar.” That tagline from a new outdoor apparel company pretty much sums it up.
WILD is a new brand out of Portland, Ore., that makes “technical, relaxed, and fun” winter clothes.
The company’s lineup includes technical shells, parkas, and pants that are made to look good on and off the slopes and stand out with a unique color scheme.
Recently, the brand expanded its line after a successful crowd-source funding campaign on Crowd Supply.
With hundreds of backers and more than $17,000 raised, the brand is now adding two new jackets to its colorful winter apparel collection.
The men’s Park Place Snap-Front Jacket ($195) is made of synthetic corduroy. The material is waterproof and breathable yet it looks nothing like a traditional shell.
For women, WILD added the Sweet Sister Down Hoodie ($150). This down-insulated jacket is water resistant and compressible. The brand calls it “the perfect mountain-to-the-bar garment.”

“We make small runs of independently minded product for independently minded people who don’t follow the crowd,” says the brand’s founder, Dan Tiegs.
Unless, of course, that crowd is on the way to the bar.
