A Word From Gabriela Daughtery
I’m an avid environmentalist, climber, and hiker, and have recently tacked on cycling to my list of passion projects. I have had a deeply rooted love for the outdoors since I can remember. Growing up in Houston, Texas, I have spent most of my life daydreaming about being in the mountains. My life has been centered around climbing since I was 16, and now at the age of 24, I have discovered a love for bigger, more adventurous multi-pitch climbing. Most of my expertise has come from my own experiences as a climber over the last 7 years, and hiking and backpacking throughout my youth. I’m new to the freelance writing world and have enjoyed writing about outdoor gear, inclusivity in outdoor spaces, and the companies that are making a difference in our outdoor industry. Outside of writing and climbing, I work for Patagonia here in Austin and spend most of my time cycling around the city.
