Experience:
Clement’s parents gifted her a red Nikon Coolpix, her first camera, on her twelfth birthday. That moment began the domino effect of a career taking Clement to high mountains, blue seas, and hot deserts. Through dark rooms and B&H sales, Clement found a passion for capturing moments in time.
Born and raised in South Dakota, Clement enjoyed reading, watching movies, and going on road trips with her family. Through writing and photography, she found a love for telling stories. She attended Augustana University in South Dakota for an education in journalism and English.
Through the music group The Midwest Ambassadors, Clement had the opportunity to travel to seven countries in Europe, where she photographed the different sites and cultures.
For two years, Clement was a news broadcaster for KELO radio, reporting on many state and nationwide events. After graduation, she was planning to move to Austin, Texas, when the pandemic hit. She stayed in Sioux Falls and continued her news work but ultimately decided on a career change. She moved to a marketing position at another company, where she created several different types of content.
Clement discovered an enthusiasm for music and local concerts. In her free time, she photographs different bands and artists while they perform. She recently collaborated on a music video where she won a gold AAF of South Dakota Award in 2024.
As a Content Director, Clement has had many opportunities to write other people’s stories and photograph special moments. She believes in empathy and transparency in journalism, especially when telling others’ stories. She strives to create professional, cool-looking content that reflects how it felt to be in those moments.

A Word From Katelyn Clement
As a photographer and writer, I want to create professional, enjoyable content. I love storytelling, so to be able to travel and know so many talented creatives and musicians from whom I can learn and share their stories is a privilege. I continuously read new things and religiously go to concerts to surround myself with anything that will help me learn about the world.
Although my career feels like it’s just beginning, I am very proud of the work that I have accomplished so far, and I look forward to meeting the people I meet and to future projects that I will be a part of.
