This week, on Thursday, August 23, at an independent theater in Minneapolis (a.k.a. “Bike City USA”), four short films about bikes will be shown on the big screen. The event, called REELS X WHEELS, is being organized by a collective of area film, bike and media outlets. We’re thrilled that one of the featured videos was made by none other than Monopoint Media and GearJunkie.com.

Our “Maah Daah Hey Trail” mountain-biking film, which debuted on the site in July (see here), will be shown along with three short films by Royal Antler. The night will include the world premiere of “The Almanzo 100” and “ARTCRANK,” both bike-theme films by T.C. Worley and Tony Franklin of the Royal Antler group.

REELS X WHEELS is a free event.

The venue, Minneapolis’ Parkway Theater, is at 4814 Chicago Ave. South.

You won’t want to miss this one!

Doors open at 7pm, and throughout the night, GearJunkie will run silent auctions to give away bike prizes with all proceeds benefiting Full Cycle, a nonprofit bike shop that provides free bicycles and work experience for homeless teens.

See you Thursday!
