Emily Jackson of Rock Island, Tenn., is a competitive kayak athlete. She’s also 9 months pregnant, her first baby due in July.

But the baby isn’t slowing her down. He or she is actually coming along for the ride.

We saw Jackson compete at the GoPro Mountain Games in Vail, Colo., early this month.

Since then, the 23-year-old has kept traveling and kept competing, including winning the last two weekends of the U.S. Tour.

Over the course of her pregnancy Emily has competed in seven events and won two of them. She took first place last weekend at the Payette River Games in Idaho, beating reigning World Champion Claire Ohara of England.

Said a representative, Jackson is “making for a tremendous and almost unheard of sports story about a very soon mom-to-be.”

Jackson’s due date is July 19th. Will her baby be born with built-in rights to claim championship titles with the “co-wins”? We believe it’d be deserved.
