With a coast to coast route, from the Pacific to the Atlantic, and from border to border (Nicaragua to Panama), the AR World Championship, this week in Costa Rica, promises to be one of the biggest endurance competitions of the year.

Our GearJunkie/YogaSlackers team is currently in the heat of it, a few hours into a race that is expected to last up to eight days.

Volcano climb on the route

Class I through IV rivers, estuaries, canals, jungle, ocean, “several canopy sections,” and hundreds of miles of terrain — including a trek up a volcano and through pre-Colombian ruins — are promised on the route.
