That Atacama Desert is notorious for waylaying man and machine alike. Despite succumbing to the Martian-like hardships, professional extreme mountain unicyclist – yes, a real title, Lutz Eichholz captures some amazing visuals and gnarly one-wheelies.

The German-born Eichholz has become a minor YouTube sensation with his web diaries chronicling his treks around the world to attempt world-record unicycle drops and tackle jaw-dropping rock slopes – from Iceland to Iran, the Alps to the Sahara.

Not sure just how hard mountain unicycling is, but we’re sure it’s not nearly as easy as Eichholz makes it look.
