Brolin Mawejje, born in Kampala, Uganda, is pursuing a dream to become the first Olympic Snowboarder to represent an African nation.

Olympic Snowboarder

Brolin, 21, has endured more hardship than most individuals will in a lifetime. However, through snowboarding, he found an outlet for his anger. And, as his slopestyle snowboarding career developed, so did his passion for the medical field, perhaps motivated by the violence he experienced in Uganda.

Far From Home, which debuts today on Vimeo on Demand, is an independent documentary following Brolin’s journey and his road to the 2018 Olympics and medical school.
