Hour Zero: The Hopper is filled full with ice and beer. We zip it shut and set it into the sun to let the 80-degree weather do its worst.

Hour 24: As we get ready to head home for the day, we unzip the cooler for a peek. The ice has hardly melted and the beer looks so cold and tasty.

Hour 48: Very little ice has melted. Our beer is still cold, nestled comfortably in ice. A small amount of water has formed on the bottom. To check the cooler’s waterproofness, we turn the case upside-down. As promised, nothing leaks out of the zipper.

Hour 72: It’s Friday afternoon, and the ice has finally melted. The Hamm’s are floating in a pool of cool water. It just so happens to be 5pm, so we crack open a frosty Hamm’s to celebrate the test.
