‘Freeskiing As Art’ In Garrett Russell Video

“How the body moves in time and motion is art. I use skis as a motion of art.” Freeskier Garrett Russell is responsible for that line, and he is the star in the first installment of “Another Time, Another Place,” a series of videos following Russell around the world practicing his art in parks and on high mountain faces.

This video, shot in August in Argentina, titled “The Garrett Russell Experience, Part I,” is sponsored by GearJunkie, The-House.com , Under Armour, Line Skis, SASS Global Travel, and Teton Gravity Research.

Stay tuned as Russell heads to Japan and destinations around North America in future episodes where skiing, travel, expression, and art collide.

—We cover Garrett Russell’s tips for skiing in South America during the off season in “Summertime Skiing: 10 Tips For A Great South American Ski Vacation.”
