What’s your favorite piece of non-climbing gear?
My Adidas heart-rate monitor because it’s great for cross training!
What’s your favorite piece of climbing gear?
My TEAM VXI shoes. They fit like a sock and I feel like I’m dancing when I climb with them.
What would you recommend to anyone who has a lady-climber in their lives as a gift idea?
How about some FiveTen Women’s BlackWings in pink! Or if you are going the extra mile money wise, a personal EP hang board! And a hand-made card. That shows heart.

Favorite piece of climbing gear?
The Evolv Shamans. Chris Sharma wears them and he climbs 15c. The secret lies within the shoes. Grab a pair of Shamans and get a signature grunt, and you’ll be sending hard in no time.
Favorite piece of non-climbing gear?
My cellphone. I’m addicted to the internet. Can’t live without it. Did you know you could get good cell reception off the side of a mountain in the middle of nowhere?! Whether I need to watch a video to get beta on a route or text my friends after a good send, my phone never leaves my side.
What would you recommend to those who have a climber in their lives as a great gift?
A Christmas gift I would give to a fellow climber is prAna Stretch Zion pants. They are very comfortable and can withstand a lot of wear and tear. Climbers are known for living out of their cars for a month at a time with two shirts and two pair of pants. If you must pack light for an extended trip, Stretch Zions are the way to go.
