The Pocket Shot aims to resurrect the slingshot for plinking enthusiasts with its compact, collapsible body and high-performance firing pouches.
The company markets its patented circular design as the latest evolution of the slingshot, allowing users to load and fire projectiles up to 350 feet per second.
Plenty of professional slingshots go well beyond that mark, but the Pocket Shot’s price and size make it much easier on the pocket.
A professional wrist launcher will easily top $100. A Pocket Shot will set you back $20 and at roughly two inches around, will slip discretely into a breast pocket.
Made in America, it uses a steel base ring to secure the replaceable latex pouches, available in both standard (up to 250 feet per second) and pro (up to 350 feet per second) models, and is designed for quarter-inch slugs, marbles, and small paintballs.
The company also offers a whisker biscuit attachment for firing arrows (cut to three-quarters size).
Despite the warning on the company website that the Pocket Shot “is not a toy,” it has taken the liberty of posting some videos of questionably safe backyard break-stuff sessions. Enjoy!
