Love the idea of drinking from a mountain stream? Do so safely with a LifeStraw Go filtration bottle. And now, keep that water colder longer.

Like the steel version of its Personal Filter Straw, LifeStraw now offers a filter lid with a double-walled, vacuum-insulated stainless steel bottle. This version offers a more durable and environmentally friendly option than the plastic model. And it has the bonus of maintaining the temperature of your water for a whole day.

Plus, collecting water from streams and lakes gives hikers a convenient option to save weight by refilling along the way.

LifeStraw built the new Go Steel to be simple to use. Scoop water into the bottle and screw on the filter lid. As you drink, the filter removes nearly all bacteria, parasites, microplastics, chlorine, and other organic chemical matter from your water. LifeStraw also claims the filter removes sand and grit for clearer water that tastes better.

LifeStraw Go Stainless Steel

LifeStraw has always been about filtration. Its filters have been tested to meet standards set by the U.S. and international agencies (U.S. EPA and NSF P231) for the removal of waterborne bacteria and parasites like E. coli and Cryptosporidium.

Like most reusable bottles, this reduces the need for buying, carrying, and packing out a single-use plastic bottle of water. LifeStraw currently sells the LifeStraw Go, an as-you-sip filter with a plastic body, which may fit your everyday needs.

However, the double-wall vacuum stainless steel bottle should better withstand bumps and drops. Plus, LifeStraw says it can keep cold water cold for up to 24 hours. The 24-ounce bottle and cap are dishwasher-safe (not the filter) for easy cleaning after frequent use.

How LifeStraw Gives Back

Buying a LifeStraw product has more impact than just keeping another plastic bottle out of circulation. The brand has several social initiatives aimed at providing safer water to children and families in developing nations.

As part of the brand’s Give Back program, LifeStraw pledges to provide one year of safe water for one child for every bottle.

Last year, the Give Back program provided more than 3 million children with safe water for a year, according to the brand’s website. It also delivered more than 12,000 Community Filters to decontaminate water.
