A new film sponsored by REI, Monumental follows the tracks of skiers in Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Teton, Glacier, and Olympic National Parks through the lens of KGB Productions. The film tells the rich history of each of the five parks through the voices of park rangers and locals who have dedicated their lives to preserving, promoting, and recreating in these pristine places.

The skiers showcase the amazing skiing available in national parks.

“Monumental pays homage to the explorers, naturalists, writers, environmentalists, historians, and politicians that toiled to preserve these wild places,” said John Stifter, executive producer of the film and Powder Productions. “This project serves to educate skiers and recreationists on the beautiful history of these magical parks while encouraging skiers to go deep and channel their inner explorer.”

Monumental, will tour nationwide, stopping at 19 different ski towns across America. In addition to the film, POWDER will launch a multimedia digital feature on September 21, and a 143-page hardcover, coffee-table-style book will be available to purchase at tour stops and online. The film will also be available to buy online.
