Is that a sports car driving on a lake like a speedboat? Why yes, keen-eyed observer. Yes, it is.
Some experiments never quite make the leap to popularity, and the Gibbs Aquada is an excellent example. Check out this blast from the past with a YouTube vid about the “world’s first High Speed Amphibian,” or HSA.
We’re not sure why this amphibious car needs its own acronym, but it looks pretty cool. According to the video description, the crazy ride is capable of over 100 mph on land and over 30 mph on water.
“Powerful enough to tow a water skier, this radical new breed is a groundbreaking testimony to HSA Technology,” the vid says.
We’ll take your word for it.
