CLYMB Abu Dhabi will challenge climbers with a 140-foot wall — in the same facility as the world’s widest skydiving chamber.
On November 29, the world’s tallest climbing wall will open to climbers of varying skill levels. Towering inside the crystalline architecture of the $100 million CLYMB Abu Dhabi development, the wall will also offer up the world’s first and only multipitch indoor climbing experience.
Situated on Yas Island, CLYMB Abu Dhabi will complement a host of local attractions, like Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, and Warner Brothers World Abu Dhabi. The wall itself will host 13 routes in total, including the 140-foot marquee attraction, The SUMMYT.
But executives for Miral, developer of the attraction, said the massive wall has something for climbers with any amount of experience.
“As one of the most highly anticipated new attractions in Abu Dhabi, it is set to become the ultimate hub for adventure in the region, offering something completely unique, challenging, and unforgettable for all ability levels,” said Miral chairman HE Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak.
CLYMB Abu Dhabi: World’s Tallest Indoor Climbing Wall
In total, CLYMB will have five climbing areas: the SUMMYT, a 70-foot advanced wall, a 32-foot intermediate wall, a 20-foot beginner wall, and a 9-foot-tall bouldering area that spans 187 feet.
CLYMB will also house the world’s biggest indoor skydiving chamber, spanning 32 feet wide and 87 feet high. Sixteen blower fans will suspend divers to mimic the feel of freefall.
The attraction will host a range of food and beverage outlets and an event space. Tickets for climbing range between about $25 and $50 depending on age and which walls you want to climb.
Tickets for skydiving run from $60 up to about $200 for a visit. Experienced divers can also buy multiday packages. Meanwhile, spectators can visit for free.
