Well, we lived.
The Primal Quest was a battle to the death, at least some days. Temps as high as 110 degrees. Endless walking in sun-scorched valleys. Slickrock mountain biking. Refreshing river swimming and kayaking. Hike-a-bike galore. Sand ad nauseam. Fifty-cent-piece-size blisters on the heels. Saddle sores. Sunburn. Little sleep for days upon days.
But, we persevered. In the end, the course took us 9 days and a few hours. Finished at 4:40 a.m. on Monday, July 3. Looks like we got 46th place. Right in the middle of the pack.
We took a relatively moderate pace for most of the race. Slept an hour or two most days. Drank and ate often. Gallons of water and 6,000 calories a day. (I actually gained weight throughout the week!)
You can track our course via a GPS unit I wore the whole time : here
And here’s my team’s Web page if you want to see some images or read more about the race:

Glad to be back home, chilled and sitting on my butt for a few days.
