Last weekend, GearJunkie partnered with Twin Cities In Motion to produce a unique urban adventure race in Minneapolis. The “TC Urban Dash”, sponsored by FITSOK, included a 90-minute course around the city’s North Loop neighborhood.
Physical and mental challenges, as well as strategy for most efficiently navigating the open course, were key to place high in the event.
More than 300 racers showed up for the urban adventure fun. 20 checkpoints and 6+ miles of running (depending on the route) were involved.
Racers ran stairs, deciphered clues, and found hidden points around the city. It all finished at the North Loop Fest, where live music, food, beer, and a party ensued into the night.
Thanks to Twin Cities In Motion, FITSOK, the DRG, and to all who participated. The race was a blast. Here are a few more shots of the urban action. —Stephen Regenold
