Face Level: Class V+ on a Riverboard

Eight years in the making and a feat that is “another step forward in truly legitimizing the sport of riverboarding.” That’s how Josh Galt describes his descent this week in the Green River narrows of North Carolina.

Galt continued, “I’ve been wanting to riverboard the Green River and Gorilla for a long time, but had never been confident enough in my board and gear to fire it up. But the Fluid Anvil is a remarkable riverboard, and combined with the assistance from some of the world’s best kayakers, my Fluid Kayaks teammates including Steve Fisher, I gave it a go and the Anvil carried me through it all smoothly! It was a really awesome experience.” —Josh Galt, FaceLevel.com
