Sweetgrass Productions has done some crazy stuff with action sports cinematography. The company partnered with Phillips TV in the production of a tripped-out nighttime ski film, Afterglow. Now it’s done the same with mountain bikes.
Darklight follows professional mountain bikers Graham Agassiz, Matt Hunter, and Matty Miles on a mind-bending night ride through the moonscapes of Southern Utah to the Ewok forests of the Pacific Northwest.
The physically and mentally demanding production was shot during the midnight hours over three intense weeks. Looks like the work paid off.
The full film will release in October.
