With less than 2 weeks to go and over $12,000 to raise, Melanin Base Camp’s Titan Project is racing against the finish line to create a short film profiling black Canadian climber Sabrina Chapman.

It’s not just that she’s a woman. Or that she’s black and a first-generation Canadian. Or that she’s entirely a nontraditional climber on her way to the elite rankings of climbing. It’s that she encompasses all of these identities and more.

Sabrina Chapman began climbing at 26 and is now in the 13+ range of sport climbing. She continues to make waves as she consistently ascends more difficult routes despite a world of beta that doesn’t assist her 5’2″ frame.

With the support of Melanin Base Camp, an incredible team of storytellers aims to profile Chapman in an ethical, holistic manner not typically afforded to people of color. And they need your help to get this important, relevant, and inclusive story into the mainstream.
