The Double Hammock We’ve Been Waiting For

Double- or triple-size hammocks are nothing new. But the T-Mini Double Hammock, just announced by Tentsile, offers a total redesign of the multi-person perch.

The Tentsile T-Mini Double Hammock is a simple enough design — it’s an offshoot of the brand’s three-sided, wicked cool suspended camping tents, but much cheaper and more streamlined.

The rub with most large, two-person (or more) hammocks is that while they are plenty big for two, they tend to force the users to get pretty close. You better not mind being either the big or little spoon in the aerial taco.

With the three-side design, the new Tentsile gives each user a little pocket of their own. It looks like a comfortable way to lounge with a partner.

The 8′ x 10′ x 10′ hammock weighs six pounds including a ratcheting system for tightening, so it won’t be a go-to for backpackers.

But with a capacity of 485 pounds, it will allow most couples to snuggle a little, then enjoy some alone time to lounge in the breeze.

The webbing-reinforced 40D polyester hammock with 25mm polyester webbing straps is available online now for $150.
