Want to camp high in the trees? The company Tentsile makes tents that suspend campers on a taut fabric surface above the ground.
We covered the very cool Stingray design earlier this summer, but now the brand has launched a new model, the Vista. It gives campers modular flexibility to be used wide open, with a rain cover, or with a cover and insect netting.
The four-door portable treehouse can be pitched in the sky with the help of three trees.
“The Vista makes hanging out in the forest fun while ensuring Mother Nature is minimally disturbed,” says founder Alex Shirley-Smith.
With an MSRP of $650 (it’s on sale now for $595), it certainly isn’t cheap. And with a weight of 19 lbs, you probably won’t want to carry it in a backpack.
But the modular design with a triple hammock floor, flysheet to protect it from rain and sun, and a clip-in insect mesh to keep creepy crawlies at bay is one funky place to sleep.
The Vista’s underbelly doubles as storage for dry gear and leaves ample room to hang a few hammocks, too.
At 15×15×15 ft, the Vista can hold three adults and their gear or two adults and two children.
