Get ready to try Send Bars, Sasha DiGiulian’s new superfood-based energy snack.
Sasha DiGiulian should know the value of quality nutrition. The first American woman to climb 5.14d/9a in 2011, the 29-year-old has stayed at the top of her game for more than a decade.
Now, she’s launching her own energy bar company. Send Bars arrives after a decade in the making, according to DiGiulian. The climber recruited help for her nutritional brainchild from Olympic luger Arianne Jones.

The company says its team of athletes got tired of eating “the same stale, sugary, shelf-stable food” to fuel their adventures. Instead, Send Bars uses an array of natural sugars and ingredients to achieve a wide range of effects. The startup claims its bars fight stress, support pathogen immunity, and even elevate brain function.
For DiGiulian, Send Bars is more than a concept or a portfolio investment. According to the company, she makes the bars herself in her own home.

Send Bars is now finalizing recipes, and DiGiulian says the launch is “around the corner.” The snacks look poised to arrive with a high pedigree — athletes like Brette Harrington and Lynn Hill have tested them in the wild.
