A new edit from Black Diamond follows one Colorado mountain runner up his favorite local route.
Kyle Richardson might not strike you as one of the best endurance athletes in Boulder, Colo., but don’t doubt him for a second.
Beneath that ultra-lean build and unassuming demeanor is an elevation-chasing beast. As one GearJunkie writer put it, he “holds more speed records in the Front Range than Ricky Bobby holds in NASCAR.”
The trail he keeps coming back to leads up Green Mountain, a testpiece that rises 3,000 feet above the city. “I’ve summited Green Mountain over 700 times, and there is still plenty I want to learn about the hill and myself up there,” he said.
What’s so alluring about big Green? Just hit play to find out.
