Keep all your gear as safe as you keep your phone. That’s the idea behind the latest product launch from a brand built on keeping expensive smartphones protected and dry.

LifeProof today announced its first backpack line, consisting of four packs designed to fight the elements and keep your stuff organized. The Quito, Squamish, Goa, and Squamish XL provide increasing levels of storage and features. Each has weather-resistant Cordura construction, a hydration sleeve, and external gear tie-downs.

LifeProof announced the new line today, but they’re not for sale just yet. Customers can sign up to receive a notification when they’re available.

When they do go live, the packs will start at $100 for the 18-liter Quito and run up to $180 for the 32-liter Squamish XL. All packs in LifeProof’s quiver will have 3-liter hydration compatibility, lash points, weather- and abrasion-resistant fabric, cable ports for headphones, and a fleece-lined tech pocket suitable for an iPhone 8 Plus or earlier.

And now we come to the full rundown and extra specs for each pack.

LifeProof Quito 18L Backpack: $100

The runt of LifeProof’s pack lineup, the Quito was built with daily commutes and short trips in mind. It sports a cinch-top closure with hood flap to keep rain out. It also has a zippered front pocket for smaller items, a detachable chest strap, and a quilted back panel.

LifeProof Squamish 20L Backpack: $140

In addition to two extra liters of storage over the Quito, the Squamish has a separate, zippered, fleece-lined sleeve to fit a 13-inch laptop and a separate tablet pocket. Plus, a large expandable front pocket stores extra gear, while external tie-downs work for larger items like skateboards and yoga mats.

LifeProof Goa 22L Backpack: $160

The Goa offers more room and more organization, with four fleece-lined tech pockets, in addition to a side stash pocket and a padded sleeve that holds laptops up to 15 inches. In addition to the hydration sleeve, the Goa also has a side water bottle pocket and separate tablet pocket.

LifeProof Squamish XL 32L Backpack: $180

For all the bells and whistles and a full 32 liters of storage, the Squamish XL sits atop LifeProof’s new pack line. It has many similar features as the rest of the line: a 15-inch laptop sleeve and tablet pocket, expandable front-pocket storage, and two fleece tech pockets.

But it sports a few extras. The Squamish XL has load-lifter shoulder straps – to make heavy packs more comfortable – and two water bottle pockets. And for truly full loads, it has a zippered drop-bottom compartment to add extra space.

We’ll take these for a spin for a full review. But if you want to get your hand on one ASAP, you can sign up to be notified when they go on sale.
