Chevrolet has a 2024 Trax and $100,000 waiting for the right person to chase their dream or passion project.
To help launch the 2024 Chevrolet Trax, the brand is hiring for a new role. Chevrolet is looking for a “Lead Dream Chaser.” Someone who can spend 3 months with the Chevy Trax and a wad of cash in pursuit of their dream. And, someone who will share the journey on social media.
What does Chevrolet want in a dream chaser? The company is looking for someone who wants to pursue a lifelong dream or to go after their passion project. To help pick the right person, Chevrolet is partnering with Kickstarter CEO Everette Taylor.
“The past few years have caused many to consider turning their ideas and ambitions into reality, and I’m excited to help Chevy find a qualified candidate who will pursue their dream,” said Taylor. “For one, earning the Lead Dream Chaser title will give validity to whoever is selected. Out of so many applicants, Chevy will have chosen a person who truly exemplifies what it means to hustle, push through adversity, and chase their dreams. Secondly, $100K is a significant amount of money for an entrepreneur to get a business off the ground.”
Make a Video to Show Your Dream
If you want to apply for the job as Lead Dream Chaser, Chevrolet wants you to send in a short video. The automaker wants to hear about you and the dream you’re planning to chase, along with how you plan to share your story on social media.
Chevrolet also wants to know how you plan to use the 2024 Chevrolet Trax and the $100,000 prize to help you pursue that passion project or to help your community.
Videos need to be 60 seconds or less and can be posted to Instagram or TikTok, using the tag #ChevyTrax. Anyone submitting needs to follow @Chevrolet on the social network where they plan on posting their submission.

Full entry requirements and rules will be available starting at noon Eastern on Friday, Jan. 13, when Chevrolet opens up the window for submissions.
Why is the contest opening on a Friday? Chevrolet commissioned a poll to find out the most popular time for daydreaming. It’s not much of a surprise, but Friday afternoon was the most popular time of the week for that pastime.
Thanks to the contest, Chevrolet could help make this Friday the 13th a bit luckier than most.
Is There a Cooler Job Title Than ‘Lead Dream Chaser’?
A panel of judges will review and score all submissions based on what the entrant plans to do with the role and how the Chevy Trax will support the winner to pursue their dream. Judges will also look at the creativity of the video submission, the details of the entrant’s passion or dream, and how the winner plans on using the money.
The window for submissions will be open for 30 days, giving dreamers plenty of time to prepare their entries. Chevrolet will announce the finalists for the contest in March. The selected candidate will be announced sometime in April.
