An Australian cyclist captured what might be the most adorable image ever.

Just forget it. Nothing will ever be cuter than this. Western Australia’s most lovable marsupial just overloaded our cuddle-meter in what is sure to become an internet hit.
The quokka is renowned for its chubby-cheeked grin and docile curiosity toward humans. Campbell Jones, 21, got the best of both on a cycling trip through Rottnest Island, just off the coast of Perth.
The quokka, who we’ll call Mr. Plumpykins, leaped toward Jones’s GoPro with a smile and arms wide for a hug.
Game over, man. Game over.
World’s Cutest Quokka
A quick Google search of “quokka selfie” reveals that there is no shortage of heart-melting, snuggly quokka pictures. In fact, #QuokkaSelfie has its own hashtag.
But Jones posted a few to Instagram that rival anything else out there.
Before you go buying selfie sticks and plane tickets to Australia, remember that chasing these huggable critters isn’t good for them. Quokkas are listed as “vulnerable” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). This means if conditions affecting the animal’s habitat and reproduction do not improve, it is likely to become endangered.
So get your fix with #QuokkaSelfie on Instagram and frame that Mr. Plumpykins shot. Because nothing will ever be cuter.
