So you’ve been thinking of getting into ski touring. This little vid from the Rise and Alpine YouTube channel might just be the last bit of convincing you’ll need.

The filmmakers are just as jazzed on the scenery going up as they are on the turns going down. The pair trek through dense forests and cross a dicey log bridge before hauling themselves up to the top of Vantage Peak, a pretty little summit north of Whistler, British Columbia. After that, it’s all powder turns all the way down.

And then? Beer time.

Give it a watch and start thinking about trading in your front-country gear for some backcountry goodness.
