Since the 1970s, Jadav Payeng, a resident of the Indian river island of Majuli, has been planting trees. To date he has singlehandedly planted a forest larger than Central Park in New York City, transforming what was once a barren wasteland into a lush oasis.
Humble yet passionate and philosophical about his work, Payeng takes us on a journey into his incredible forest in this movie by William D McMaster.
