Filson launches a new story series to honor the men and women who have fought to protect our land and people from devastating forest fires for the last 114 years.
Filson teams up with the likes of the U.S. Forest Service and the National Forest Foundation to tell the stories from the front lines about the fight to protect our public lands.
The stories highlight firefighters, scientists, rangers, and volunteers who work together to protect our forests and grasslands from wildfire. From what it takes to survive firefighter jump training, to a rare look inside the Fire Lab, to the story of Pheonix Crew 1 — a team of post-release inmates fighting fires in Arizona — this series aims to be both inspiring and educational.
Many of the men and women “Protectors of the Forest” highlights literally risk their lives. Filson believes these protectors embody the concept of sacrifice so that we can continue to enjoy the outdoors.
Take a moment to explore the stories of the people who help protect our forests.
