Patagonia’s long-term dedication to educating about and advocating for our waters continues with the brand’s third full-length documentary, ‘Artifishal.’ It’s available now.

Yvon Chouinard is certainly not known for his quiet take on issues facing our wildlife, land, and waters. And his brand continues to double down on educating the public in no small measure on the issues at hand.

Artifishal” is Patagonia’s latest effort to break down barriers between the public and conservation issues. This time, they’re tackling the problems currently facing wild salmon.

From fish hatcheries to fish farms to tribal fishing rights and beyond, the film covers an expansive and intricate subject as best it can in an hour and 20 minutes. Beyond the film, Patagonia has also created resources for conscientious fish consumers to better support our wild rivers and oceans.

The situation is dire and not without complications. It’s worth an evening watch. The film is beautifully put together, and it’s deeply necessary for both the plight and fight for wild salmon.
