Cold Collaborative’s newest trailer, Beyond the Horizon, shines a light on the story of Guanaja fishing guide and former drug runner Rankin Jackson.
The island of Guanaja is situated approximately 43 miles north off the coast of Honduras in the Caribbean. The island is well known as a narcotrafficking transit point, where drug runners commonly use powerful boats to run drugs and money up and down the coastline.
A lesser-known secret about Guanaja is the quality of fishing for two prized species: permit and bonefish. Beyond the Horizon shows the struggles and dangers that wait in the mangroves and reefs Rankin navigates through on his way to becoming one of the best fishing guides in Honduras.
