OutdoorClass brings the knowledge of top hunting industry professionals to an online classroom.

You can now learn the tradition from your hunting idols. OutdoorClass has launched its first set of courses aimed at educating both new and existing hunters. With names like Randy Newberg, Remi Warren, Corey Jacobsen, and Jaime Teigen on its roster of initial educators, this new digital teaching platform gives you the ability to learn about hunting directly from the best in the business.

There is a lot of controversy over R3 (recruitment, retention, and reactivation) in the hunting space right now. People can’t seem to agree on whether or not we need to be bringing more hunters into the field. What I think we all can agree on is this: an educated hunter is far superior to an uneducated one.

What Is OutdoorClass?

Unlike many other online learning platforms, OutdoorClass offers a yearly subscription ($99) that gets you unlimited access to all of its courses. You don’t have to pick and choose what you want to learn. You also don’t have to decide where you want to learn.

The courses are available on mobile devices, the web, AppleTV, Roku, and more. You can even download the lessons to watch when you’re offline and in the field.

With partners like GoHunt, RMEF, Elk 101, and Randy Newberg Hunter, the resources are top-notch, and so is the production quality.

A $99 annual subscription is right on par with what most big hunt apps are charging for access. OnX offers its Elite subscription for $100 a year. GoHunt has its Insider Membership set at $149.

The real question comes down to whether hunters are hungry enough for this kind of content to add another subscription to their annual pile. With seemingly endless YouTube videos and tutorials already existing in the hunt space, it’s hard to know whether or not this demographic is willing to pay for quality and expertise. Only time will tell.

With a star-studded launch and an impressive lineup waiting on the bench, they’ve certainly not skimped on talent or production quality. I’ve had the opportunity to sneak a few behind-the-scene peeks, and it’s impressive for what it is.

In Closing

It’ll be interesting to see where OutdoorClass takes this and how big it really gets. Who knows, maybe we’ll all learn a thing or two. I’m certainly excited to see a few friends on the list of pros doing something just a bit different in the hunt space.
