Trash was blowing down the street, a rust-covered car parked outside. I opened a heavy glass door from the urban jungle and am suddenly looking at $300 jackets with a carbon fly fishing rod in my hand.
Mend Provisions is a boutique fly fishing shop that opened up last June in the urban heart of Minneapolis. The store is unique in that it is one of the only fly-specific stores in the Twin Cities.
“We’re just two guys who love fly fishing and nice things,” says store owner Mike Fischer about himself and co-owner Joshua Klauck. Look around the store and you’ll see these guys live and breath fishing and the outdoors.
Here are some photos from my visit to the shop earlier this month.
