REI is putting up $500,000 to help maintain 10 epic trails across the United States, and it is letting the public decide which trails get what percentage of the money.
The Every Trail Connects campaign will help protect and expand these 10 trails:
- Middle Fork Snoqualmie River Trail in Washington
- Backbone Trail in California
- Cumberland Island Trail Network in Georgia
- Appalachian Trail at Bear Mountain in New York
- Coast to Crest Trail in California
- Superior Hiking Trail in Minnesota
- Coon Creek to Bear River Trail System in California
- Mount Columbia Summit Trail in Colorado
- Voilet Crown Trail in Texas
- Bay Circuit Trail and Greenway in Massachusetts
Each trail gets $5 per vote cast for it, up to a maximum of $75,000. Voting is now open and ends when all $500,000 are allocated.
So head over to the REI campaign and vote for your favorite trail now to see upgrades at your favorite hiking path soon.
