If ever there were a combination of things greater than bikes and tacos, I have yet to discover it. You can understand my excitement, then, when I learned of a new bike-only taco delivery service that opened earlier this month.

Called Taco Cat, the Minneapolis-based taco delivery service has a simple slogan: “Call number. Get tacos.”

Aside from the menu and a short and witty FAQ section, the Taco Cat website does little to shed light on the operation.

We decided to find out for ourselves by ordering some tacos to our office earlier this week.

The time from placing the order to actual tacos in my mouth was under 20 minutes. Oh, and it was sleeting out. (Yes, we did give the delivery-cyclist a proper tip.)

Minneapolis bike courier Drew Ditlefsen delivered the delicious tacos

The menu includes five taco options: original steak, mojo pork, chipotle chicken, grilled veggie and bánh mì. They cost $8 for three. But don’t be picky. Taco Cat specifies, “No substitutions or half orders, please. Let’s keep it simple.”

After eating 3 of the tacos myself, I’m confident in saying that these were the best bike-delivery tacos I have ever eaten. They might have been the only bike-delivery tacos I’ve ever eaten, but who’s keeping track?

If you live in Minneapolis, give the guys at Taco Cat a call. I mean it’s bikes, tacos, and cats, which is really one fine trifecta.
