The ‘Ultimate Fan’ Of The Ultrarunning World

Bill Dooper has been to every Leadville Trail 100 race since 1988. He has been at every Hardrock 100 race. But he’s never run any of them.

The 79-year-old Dooper has become a fixture of the ultra running community as the ultimate superfan. He can be seen at races cheering on runners from the sidelines, many of whom consider him a friend. When it came time to help Dooper achieve his dream of going to the Western States 100, they stepped up and fundraised enough for him to make the trip.

This episode of Salomon T.V. follows Dooper on his trip to the Western States 100 to help cheer on the runners that helped him get there.
