The iconic Golden Gate Bridge opened 77 years ago today.
To celebrate, the U.S. Department of the Interior released this image.
The three-mile span over Golden Gate Straight between San Francisco and Marin County, Calif., was constructed in four years and three months. It cost $35 million, which was $1.3 million under budget.
It opened on May 27, 1937. Hope I look so good at age 77.
