This pumpy, modern ski film focuses on ‘present meets future’ with a mashup of footage from prodigy and veteran skiers.

The Faction Collective’s “Saas-Fee” has everything you’d want in a freestyle ski edit. Directed by famous filmmaker Etienne Mérel, Saas Fee follows seven pro (and almost pro) skiers as they take on the slopes — and each other — in Switzerland.

“Present meets future as masters Alex Hall, Antti Ollila, Daniel Hanka and Ben Buratti meet up with prodigies Matej Svancer, Tim Sivignon and Alexis Ghisleni for a session to remember,” teases the film description.

Saas Fee, the film’s namesake, is a resort village on the border of Switzerland and Italy. It’s a place where the Alps stand tall and, if you want, you can really get some air. The edit is a little over six minutes long — just enough time to get you hooked on what’s possible this upcoming season.
